The Project

The Gen AI Litigation Project is an AI-powered platform developed to streamline case analysis and automate statute identification for legal professionals. Our client, a Minnesota-based consulting and investigative services provider, aimed to modernize traditional legal workflows by integrating advanced AI technologies. QSS Technosoft collaborated closely with the client to design a solution capable of processing large, complex legal documents, identifying statutes, and delivering real-time insights. With features like a user-friendly case report interface, PDF ingestion, real-time streaming responses, and accurate NIBRS code mapping, the platform transforms how legal teams and law enforcement analyze cases. The result is faster decision-making, reduced manual effort, and improved compliance, empowering professionals to handle complex cases with greater efficiency and accuracy.

Process We Followed


After lining up salient details related to the project, our team outlined a course of action that would be followed to develop a comprehensive solution. The process comprised of identification of problems, considering the relevant factors of the solution, taking note of common challenges faced, technology stack to be used and coming up with the outcome in the end.

1. Problem Identification

The client aimed to overcome inefficiencies in legal workflows by automating case analysis, accelerating statute identification, and delivering real-time AI insights to empower legal professionals and law enforcement.

Over six months, QSS built a scalable AI platform using open-source LLMs, AWS, and WebSocket for real-time streaming. Through discovery workshops, testing, and competitor analysis, the team delivered a user-friendly tool for faster legal workflows.

Before development, the team evaluated the technical and operational feasibility of creating an AI-driven platform for legal analysis. The study focused on selecting the right LLMs, ensuring scalability, and maintaining compliance with legal standards.

  • Designed an easy-to-use interface for legal professionals to upload reports and get statute insights without technical skills. 
  • Ensured the system can process large PDFs and scale using FAISS vector stores and AWS cloud infrastructure.

 To ensure user needs were at the core of development, we conducted in-depth research to understand legal professionals’ workflows, challenges, and expectations. This helped shape an intuitive interface and guided feature prioritization for maximum impact.

 The QSS Technosoft Team spent six months developing the Litigation Project, starting with selecting suitable open-source LLMs and closely collaborating with the client to align goals. They overcame technical challenges like integrating real-time streaming via WebSocket and hosting on AWS through iterative testing and expert consultations. A two-step LLM execution approach was fine-tuned with client input to ensure accuracy, while continuous feedback helped refine a user-friendly interface balancing complex backend processing. Despite challenges, the project was delivered on time, providing an efficient platform that transforms legal case analysis and accelerates legal workflows.

The deployment was managed on AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability. The platform integrates WebSocket for real-time responses and vector stores (FAISS) for efficient data handling, while maintaining a seamless user experience.
